JUNE 2010- Cycle of Events

Life and Soul Trustee Richard Stalley is getting on his bike to raise funds for the Trust and hoping he can persuade his 20 co-cyclists to do the same! Richard will be hopping aboard the ferry to Cherbourg (the easy bit – not too many beers onboard please Richard!) before cycling from Cherbourg to St Marlot, a total of 300 miles over five days. This feat of endurance takes place in June and Richard is hoping his regular Thursday night training sessions will enable him to go the distance! To reward his valiant efforts you can sponsor him by visiting: www.charitygiving.co.uk/richardstalley

Fundraising Ideas
Raising money locally is a great way to get involved and help support families affected by cancer in Bournemouth and Poole.
There are hundreds of things you can do to raise money for us. From organising a 'wear-your-clothes-back-to-front-day' or a coffee morning to walking from Lands End to John O Groats or climbing a mountain; the list is endless!

If you enjoy a good social gathering invite family and friends around for dinner, organise a pub quiz, coffee morning, barn dance, race night, themed party or even a 'Come Dine With Me' style dinner party event!

When the sun is shining, garden parties, fun days, car boots sales and 5-a-side football matches are always a great idea.

Let us know what you are doing and you could be featured on our website or in one of our newsletters! Contact us at info@richiekeefelifeandsoultrust.org.uk with your picture and story.

Corporate Support
Linking with a good cause is a proven way to attract and keep customers and employees.

From quizzes and mufti days to 'cakes on Friday' or even a swear box, you can help. Can your company match funds raised by staff? It's a great incentive and helps staff to feel good about their company.

We also have a great relationship with the local press. Let us know what you are doing and we will ensure positive PR for your company! Contact us at info@richiekeefelifeandsoultrust.org.uk to discuss your corporate fundraising strategy.

Would you jump out of a plane for us? How far would you go to raise money for the Richie Keefe Life and Soul Trust?

Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is one of the easiest and most convenient ways for employees to support The Richie Keefe Life and Soul Trust

If you pay tax through PAYE then you can opt to make a regular donation which is deducted from your gross pay tax-free.

For example - you could pledge £5.00 to The Richie Keefe Life and Soul Trust each month and if you pay the basic tax rate, then you only need to donate £4.00 as the remaining £1.00 will be made up by the tax man.

If you are an employee or an employer interested in implementing this scheme contact us at info@richiekeefelifeandsoultrust.org.uk or visit www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk to find out more.
